Subject matter

The content can be anything that is of interest to you (please do not consider anything which is of indecent, illicit or illegal in nature!)

As an idea, here are some of the things which I have authored web sites about:

These are just a few ideas. It is likely you can come up with something which is more interesting and relevant to you.
Evidence (How the candidate can show he/she has achieved these elements)
  • Listings (annotated by candidate) of pages designed in both text and browser format
  • Chart of design for web site
  • Demonstration of candidate's own web pages
  • Disc containing html files, images and/or audio/audio-visual files (or directory thereof)

Knowledge (What the candidate needs to know)
  • Basic HTML commands necessary to generate above products - ability to use an HTML assistant (eg Word Assistant) is not sufficient
  • Hierarchical addressing principles and practices in use throughout the web
  • Ability to represent the design of a site using an informal design tool
  • Data classification systems and methods (eg hierarchical, relational, network) at an elementary level
